Futsal Escocia Youth team started Fun 3 matches for development 2014's and more advanced 2015/16's on Sunday and the players involved loved it!!
Why are we looking at 3v3?
The aim of our academy is to develop the individual player in a fun environment and we believe that the current structures in Scotland do not fully provide this. Children are not miniature adults and the 4v4 structure may only be one player more but it is already about 10% less touches of the ball. At the foundation phase dribbling with the ball, scoring goals and having fun must be the priority.
We have decided to open this out to our advanced Ninos and Academy players in that age range (email sent to parents) and will be FREE for those involved in Futsal Escocia coaching sessions. Matches will be every Sunday over the summer between 5-6pm at Michael Woods, Glenrothes. Players youth team fees will remain free of charge until the players progress to the futsal teams/leagues and 5 a side.
This also fits in well with our partnership with Football Buzz where the younger players will develop their on and off the pitch skills before progressing to ourselves for additional training and the youth teams for matches.
This will have massive benefits for the players involved.
